Fuck all borders. Fuck all boundaries. Fuck all flags. Fuck nationalities.
Countries are just lines drawn in the sand with a stick.
Postcodes
In 2021, I made a painting for my wife. It was based on the aerial view of a postcode area in her home town, Milton Keynes, as I knew the aerial view would make an interesting geometric image based on the grid system they use.
I continued this idea into North East city centre postcodes. They started as filling a rectangular shape, before I realised I liked the unique shapes they created when ignoring outside the postcode boundaries.
I have been interested in making larger artworks from smaller artworks for a long time. Probably the game, Tetris, having a massive influence on me. In 2024, I moved to London and started creating postcode artworks that could be put together. I decided to use print for this body of work, as it lends to the Pop Art idea, and can be easily cut out to make larger work. As of December 2025, I have created all 28 of the SE postcodes, and all 20 of the SW postcodes. I am working my way round the London postcodes in a clockwise direction. They will all be able to make the whole London area of approximately 2x2.5m, the smaller areas (such as SE or SW), or combined in any way.
I have also started on the North East postcodes, having completed the 8 SR postcodes of the Sunderland area in November 2025.
